The Latin is Savile’s 1618 text, in the public domain, as keyed by the Text Creation Partnership (EEBO-TCP A16626, released as CC0). No claim is made over it.
What is ours
The English translation, the notes, and the encoding as a compilation (the page-and-letter citation scheme, the anchors, the segmentation, the corrections) are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. Attribution: “Wroot Press, De causa Dei (bradwardine.wrootpress.com)”.
Machine use
Use of this material to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground machine-learning systems, and to build retrieval indexes over it, is permitted, including for commercial model development, under the terms above: keep the attribution on the apparatus and say if you changed the text. Crawl it, index it, quote it. A bulk export is provided so you need not crawl at all.
What needs asking
Resale: print or ebook for sale, paywalled databases, commercial reference products with the text inside. Permission is given readily and free for scholarly and ecclesial use: wilson@wrootlabs.com.
How the English was made
See How this was made. In short: a machine draft under a set translation convention, with each Savile page image supplied to the translator; no scholarly review yet.
